Susan Zola
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) AND Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS)
Teletherapy Services
All services offered are only through HIPAA-Compliant Teletherapy via ZOOM or telephone.
SERVICES: Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy, Betrayed Partner’s Free of Charge Psycho-educational Group, Couples Group Therapy.
I want to reassure you that the teletherapy services I provide are subject to the same high-quality ethical and professional standards of care that you would receive in person.
Some benefits of teletherapy include:
Access to my specialized services, no matter where you live
My area of focus is highly specialized and many communities don’t have Certified Sex Addiction Therapists and APSATS-trained therapists. With teletherapy, I am able to provide you with expert, high-quality care, no matter how remote you may be.
Care in the comfort of your own home or office
For many clients, the act of getting to a therapist’s office is stressful in itself. Teletherapy allows you to experience therapy in the comfort of your own surroundings.
Time management and efficiency
Teletherapy helps you avoid traffic and travel time, childcare, and scheduling conflicts.
Focus
Many clients have reported that they are better able to focus on getting down to the work during the teletherapy hour because they have avoided the distractions of running from work, arranging caretaking for family members, etc.
Communicating the way that works best for you
Teletherapy commonly takes place via phone calls, or live video platforms such as Zoom, so you have a choice og for what works best suits your communication style.
A custom approach to your care
Most importantly, I thoroughly assess your personal circumstances to ensure that teletherapy is safe for you as well as effective.
NOTE: The use of recording devices in the therapy session is strictly prohibited.
This includes but is not limited to recording on cell phones and/or audio recorders. We understand that many issues are being discussed during the therapy hour that may not be absorbed strictly through memory. Therefore, speak to your therapist about how you want to document what is discussed in the session. Many clients take notes while in therapy so they can capture the important topics discussed. Sometimes, the therapist may make a list at the end of the session to summarize what they want you to work on and/or remember from the session. It is important to speak to your therapist about how you are going to capture the content of your session. If you need accommodations or recording the sessions is absolutely necessary, speak to your therapist about this matter and they will be happy to come to a reasonable compromise.
CAUTION – The possibility of members of your household using recording devices in your home and car exists. Please make sure you’re in a safe and secure place to have your sessions.
